The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA, a full-service accounting firm with locations in Concord, Keene, and Lebanon, NH, has recently announced the promotions of eight team members.

 

Brett McConn – Senior

McConn joined Nathan Wechsler in 2016 and currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire.

 

Toni Mitrano – Senior

Mitrano holds both an Associate and Bachelor degree in Accounting from and has been with Nathan Wechsler since 2014.

 

Kayla Tanguay, CPA – Supervising Senior

Tanguay earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master in Accounting with a concentration in Taxation from Southern New Hampshire University. She has been with Nathan Wechsler since in 2014.

 

Ashley Kinville, CPA – Supervising Senior

Kinville holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and has been with Nathan Wechsler since 2017.

 

Josh Parker – Manager

Parker holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Plymouth State University and has been with Nathan Wechsler since 2014.

 

Jameson Meschino, CPA – Senior Manager

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, Meschino holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in Accounting and Finance and has been with Nathan Wechsler since in 2006.  

 

Matt Nadeau, CPA – Senior Manager

Nadeau earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University and has been with Nathan Wechsler since 2012.

 

Melissa Biron, CPA – Senior Manager

A graduate of Plymouth State University, Biron holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She joined Nathan Wechsler in 2007.

 

 

Foodman CPAs and Advisors Announces Isabelle Wheeler as Director of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance

Foodman CPAs and Advisors, a full-service accounting firm specializing in forensic accounting, banking compliance and tax consulting services, has announced Isabelle Wheeler, CFA, AMLCA as Director of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance. 

Wheeler received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and is FIBA AMLCA certified. She has been recognized with the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has held FINRA licenses 4, 7 and 24. Additionally, Wheeler has been recognized as one of the Top 30 Most Influential Private Bankers by Terrapin in 2013, 2014, and 2016.

 

FPA Recognizes Three Members with Award  

The Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), the country’s largest membership association for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals is proud to announce Stuart H. Armstrong, II, CFP®, CLU®, CLTC, ADPA; Craig Jergenson, CFP® and Tara L. Scottino, CFP® as recipients of the association’s 2019 Heart of Financial Planning Award, which recognizes financial planning professionals, firms and organizations for their commitment and passion for the financial planning community. The award will be presented at the 2019 FPA Annual Conference, to be held Oct. 16-18 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Stuart H. Armstrong, II, CFP®, CLU®, CLTC, ADPA (FPA of Massachusetts) has been committed to fostering diversity in underserved communities and was nominated for providing financial planning services and pro bono advice to those in the LGBTQ community and for serving as an expert on financial issues pertaining to same-sex partners.

Craig Jergenson, CFP® (FPA of Minnesota) has been an FPA member for more than 20 years and is passionate about helping financial planners learn and develop their skills to better serve their clients and elevate the profession. A past president of the FPA of Minnesota, he has dedicated many years serving on multiple FPA chapter committees and giving back to the local practitioner community.

Tara L. Scottino, CFP® (FPA of Dallas/Fort Worth) is a passionate and progressive leader being recognized for her commitment to serving the financial planning profession and community as past president of FPA of Dallas/Fort Worth and FPA NexGen and has served on the FPA Chapter Leadership Council and the FPA Experience Task Force.  

 

Blyweiss and Coppinger Join Mazars USA Tax Practice

Mazars USA LLP, a leading accounting, tax, advisory and consulting firm, recently announced that Olga Blyweiss has joined the firm as a Tax Partner in the Pennsylvania office and Terence Coppinger as a Tax Partner in the Long Island office.   

Olga received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Villanova University and has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to pass-through entities and closely-held family owned businesses and their Individual owners.

Terence received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Master of Business Administration from St. John’s University and a Master of Taxation from Pace University and has nearly 25 years of experience advising clients in the areas of Global Tax Information Reporting and IRS practice and procedure.  

 

 

CPAmerica’s Sarah Coulson Presented Florida Public Relations Association Local Image Awards

CPAmerica, Inc., Marketing Program Manager Sarah Coulson was presented with Image Awards for excellence in public relations programming and projects, and recognized as the 2018-2019 FPRA Gainesville Chapter Member of the Year in April. Coulson was awarded a 2019 FPRA Gainesville Chapter Judges’ Award for the CPAmerica Prospective Member Brochure, and was also awarded a 2019 FPRA Gainesville Chapter Award of Distinction for the same entry. She was also recognized as the 2018-2019 FPRA Gainesville Chapter Member of the Year, an award given to a distinguished member who goes above and beyond to promote the chapter and the public relations profession in the Gainesville community.

blumshapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England with offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island announced that the company recently received Silver in the 2019 Wicked Local Readers Choice Awards for the Regional Favorites in the Accountant category.

In addition to receiving silver in the Regional Favorites, blumshapiro also received a first-place award for Newton in the Accountant category, and an honorable mention for Quincy.
